Application Advice:
- Bitumen *
- Asphalt *
- Aged PVC and TPO single ply membranes **
- EPDM single ply membranes **
- Steel
- Galvanised steel
- Concrete
- Plastisol (weathered)
- Fibre cement
* Bitumen and asphalt surfaces must be weathered and entirely free from residual bitumen oils. As a guide, this will require an approximate minimum of 20 years aging. (For bitumen and asphalt surfaces less than 20 years old, contact Rooflock for advice regarding a primer)
** A peel test is recommended for this substrate to determine sufficient adhesion

Storage
Rooflock 1070 Coating products must be stored in a cool, dry environment. Do not expose to temperatures below 2 deg C or in excess of 35 deg C.
Moisture
Although Rooflock 1070 is moisture tolerant and will cure under water to give full performance, Rooflock recommend that Rooflock 1070 is not applied to saturated roof substrates.
Thus, roof build-ups must be dry and free from trapped moisture. It is the responsibility of the roofing subcontractor to ensure this.
Preparation
Thoroughly clean the roof surface and allow the surface to dry.
Primer (if specified)
Apply Rooflock Epoxy Primer in accordance with Rooflock advice.
Coating – wet-on-wet application
Apply Rooflock 1070 Coating evenly to the complete prepared roof surface at a rate of approx. 1.5 - 2kg per m².
Immediately saturate Rooflock Non-woven Polyester Reinforcement (min 100gsm) directly into the Rooflock 1070, applying directly from the roll where practical, ensuring any side laps are min. 50mm, and any end laps are min. 100mm.
Apply a further layer of approx. 0.5 – 1kg per m² of Rooflock 1070 Coating to fully saturate the fleece reinforcement.
Minimum Total Coverage required: 2.5kg per m². (8 - 10m² per 25kg pail)
Allow approximately 24 - 48 hours for full cure.
